Being an associate of Sigma Phi Omega is not an easy state of life. But, what state is easy? In school, you struggle through lengthy assignments, up until all hours of the morning fighting to keep the spell of sleep away for what? To learn, to understand, to practice, and to lead. A student must study and study diligently. On the job you work in merchandising to get that marginal sale; you respect the customer to the highest degree, for the customer is the boss and comes before anything else.
In the state of a student, you work on your assignments, not only for the grade and knowledge, but for future opportunities. In the state of a "trainee", you struggle upon management for promotion. These are the goals you have set; and, as in other states of life, Sigma Phi Omega offers that goal, but more important, the grueling tests typical of every state of life in achieving this goal. These tests encourage your evolution from quite possibly a naive apprentice to a mature, professional of the food industry--our measurable product!
But what does Sigma Phi Omega offer to promote this evolution? An opportunity! One which you will get out of it as much as you put into it.
